Check out the full line movement for this gameThe Pacers went into Miami and won surprisingly two games in a row, despite being the underdogs in both contests. In Sunday’s victory, seven players scored in double figures for Indiana, which was a great sign for this offense.
Indiana has won three of its last five games, and it’s no coincidence that the improvement began when Caris LeVert returned to the floor. LeVert has slowly been rounding into form, but he’s a fantastic offensive player. His presence makes this Indiana offense a more complete unit and he should be able to have an effective outing against Milwaukee tonight.
The Bucks come into this game on a massive heater, as the team has won 11 of their last 12 games SU. However, Milwaukee has failed to cover in three of its last four, as well as six of its last nine.
Part of the reason for the Bucks’ ATS struggles is that they are just 15th in the NBA in offensive rating over the last nine games. Milwaukee has been outstanding defensively in that span, but the team is going to need to execute at a high level on the offensive end in order to beat Indiana by this much. The Bucks should win this game, but doing so decisively will be tough.
PREDICTION: Pacers +10.5 (-110)
Covers NBA betting analysis
Over the last 10 games, the Bucks have the sixth-best defensive rating in basketball. That’s an improvement on Milwaukee’s ninth-ranked defense for the regular season, and a lot of that is because of Jrue Holiday being healthy.
Milwaukee also recently added P.J. Tucker to the rotation, and that is yet another good defender being thrown into the mix. With that said, look for the Bucks to do a decent job of defending Indiana in this one.
However, the Pacers should also be stout here. Myles Turner is one of the best rim protectors in the league, so that should make life difficult on Giannis Antetokounmpo, who attacks the rim as often as anyone.
Also, the Bucks might need some time to get Tucker comfortable, and that might mean a sloppy offensive performance.
PREDICTION: Under 228.5 (-110)
Justin Holiday is picking up his scoring for Indiana, averaging 15 points per game over his last four contests. That’s a good sign for his future in this rotation, as his minutes easily could have taken a massive hit when LeVert came back.
Holiday is a good shooter that hits shots in big moments, and this is exactly the type of game that Indiana will need him in. It’d be surprising if he doesn’t have at least 11 tonight against the Bucks.
PREDICTION: Justin Holiday Over 10.5 Points (-126)
