Playing in New York might not have the same magical appeal that it used to, but the Knicks are a great NBA betting play (17-10 SU/16-10-1 ATS) at home this season. The Knicks will look to continue their home cooking when they host the New Orleans Pelicans at 1:00 p.m. ET at Madison Square Garden on Sunday.

After losing to the Knicks last week in NOLA, will New Orleans find a way to win this game on the road? You’ll want to keep reading our Pelicans vs. Knicks picks and predictions in order to find out.

Against the spread (ATS) pick

The Knicks have been on a tear as of late as the team has now won five in a row. Friday’s win over Dallas was especially impressive, with the Knicks really pulling away in the second half and never looking back. One thing that’s remarkable about Tom Thibodeau’s group is that it generally doesn’t lose games it’s not supposed to. New York is 15-5 SU and 14-6 ATS when playing as a favorite this season, so backing them here seems like a solid move.

New York also happened to have played this same New Orleans team less than a week ago, when the Knicks came away with a 116-106 win on the road. Julius Randle, who has been a monster for New York this season, had 32 points, eight rebounds and five assists in that game, and he should be even better at the Garden. Randle was just 11 for 26 from the floor in that last meeting but it’s likely he’ll be more efficient in this one.

The same goes for RJ Barrett, who was just 2 for 10 the last time these teams played. Barrett has been excellent for the Knicks this year, and he should be able to get it going today.

PREDICTION: Knicks -2.5 (-110)

Over/Under pick

When the Pelicans and Knicks clashed on April 14, the game went Over the 219.5-point total. They combined to score 222 points in that one, and that was with some key players struggling to find any sort of consistency on the offensive end.

As previously mentioned, Randle and Barrett combined to go just 13 for 36 from the floor in that game while Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram weren’t all that great either. The Pels duo went 19 for 41, and they are capable of being a lot better. Look for some more shots to drop here.

PREDICTION: Over 219 (-110)

Player prop pick

Randle is averaging 36.7 points per game over his last three contests for the Knicks. He has taken at least 23 shots in each of those matchups and that usage isn’t likely to go down any time soon.

New York has been winning games by locking in on the defensive end and letting Randle do what he does best on the other end of the floor. The Knicks are going to continue riding him, and he now faces a Pelicans team that he just scored 32 against. Overall, this seems like too low of a number.

PREDICTION: Julius Randle Over 26.5 Points (-110)
