Philadelphia Phillies Fantasy Spin

Bryce Harper homered twice and collected four RBI to lead the Phillies to a 9-6 victory over the Giants on Friday. Harper was installed in the leadoff spot for the first time since late-June and responded with his first multi-homer performance in a Phillies uniform. He walloped a towering solo shot to center field off Giants righty Tyler Beede in the fifth inning and followed it up with a go-ahead, three-run tater into McCovey Cove off lefty reliever Tony Watson in the seventh. He also walked and scored a run in the third. The 26-year-old outfielder got off to a sluggish start in the second half, but has begun to heat up recently, going deep four times in eight games this month. He owns a .252/.371/.478 triple-slash line with 69 runs scored, 22 home runs, 78 RBI and six stolen bases in 509 plate appearances overall.

San Francisco Giants Fantasy Spin

Stephen Vogt went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer in the Giants’ loss to the Phillies on Friday. Vogt crushed a mammoth two-run dinger — his sixth round-tripper of the season — into McCovey Cove off Phillies starter Drew Smyly in the sixth inning. He also doubled in the fourth and singled in the seventh to record his fifth three-hit effort of the season. The 34-year-old backstop is hitting .284/.348/.537 across 181 plate appearances and offers some value in deeper fantasy formats.
