Derek Carr completed 15-of-24 passes for 112 yards and one touchdown in the Raiders’ 16-6 win over the Browns. Carr missed a wide open Henry Ruggs by approximately 15 yards down field early in the game, and the Raiders were scared to push things deep for the rest of the game with winds making a slight difference. A win is a win, but this was one of the sleepiest NFL games of the season. Josh Jacobs rushed 31 times, Baker Mayfield had no answers on the other side, and the Raiders walked out victorious. Carr is a weekly low-end QB2 play while playing decent but unspectacular football in what can be a run-heavy offense. The Chargers are up next.

Chargers QB Justin Herbert (shoulder) was removed from the team’s injury report. Herbert on Thursday popped up on the injury report with a throwing shoulder injury. He seems to be OK and ready to go for Sunday against the Raiders. Averaging 303 passing yards on 37.8 attempts per game, Herbert is a low-end QB1 against Vegas’ middling pass defense.

Raiders vs. Chargers Betting Prediction

The road team is 8-3 against the spread in the last 11 series meetings between these two teams while the Raiders have also covered in eight of their last 11 road games versus the Chargers. Las Vegas is also 5-1 against the spread in its last six road games, is 4-1 against the number in its last five divisional games and is 4-1 ATS in its last five games after accumulating more than 150 yards rushing in its previous contest. On the other side, the Chargers are just 1-6-1 against the spread in their last eight divisional games, are 3-9-1 against the number in their last 13 home games and are 5-16 against the spread in their last 21 home games versus an opponent with a winning road record.
