Starting pitchers

Nathan Eovaldi (6-2, 4.01 ERA): Eovaldi is having a solid season pitching to a 1.17 WHIP with an opponent batting average of .243 across 11 starts.

The veteran right-hander is coming off an excellent outing against the Marlins where he pitched 5 1-3 scoreless innings and fanned seven batters.

Michael King (0-2, 2.86 ERA): King is coming off his first start of the season after his first seven appearances came out of the bullpen.

The 26-year-old has flashed potential but he was roughed up in that start, surrendering four runs before getting the hook midway through the third inning against the Tigers.

Betting trend to know

The Under is 12-3 in the Yankees’ last 15 games. Find more MLB betting trends for Red Sox vs. Yankees.

Moneyline pick

The Red Sox are coming off a series in Houston where they went just 1-3, but they are still an impressive 9-4 in their last 13 road games against teams with a winning record.

The Yankees are fresh off a loss to the Rays and are 3-7 in their last 10 games. The Yankees have struggled at the plate and as we enter June, it’s time to accept that they’re not just in a short-term slump.

New York is 21st in the majors in OPS with .688, and they’ve been even worse lately, posting an OPS of .647 over the last 15 days. Meanwhile, the Red Sox have been one of the best hitting teams in the game, ranking third in the majors with an OPS of .755 and fifth in scoring with 4.93 runs per game.

Red Sox starter Nathan Eovaldi isn’t going to be mistaken for Jacob deGrom anytime soon, but he has been reliable and Boston is 9-4 in his previous 13 starts going back to last season.

The Red Sox are just 6-23 in their last 29 meetings against their AL East rivals, but these are not the same Yankees of the last couple of years. Back the BoSox to snap out of their series slump and notch a rare win at Yankee Stadium.

PREDICTION: ML Red Sox (+107)

Over/Under pick

The Yankees will send Michael King to the mound in this game, but it’s likely that the youngster won’t log too many innings before making way for the bullpen.

That’s actually a good sign for Under bettors with New York boasting one of the top bullpens in the majors. Yankees relievers collectively lead the majors in both WHIP (1.07) and opponent batting average (.193).

New York’s arms will need to be on if they want to win with its struggling sluggers. The Yankees are plating a pathetic 2.8 runs per game over their last 15 games and have been held to two or fewer runs in 10 of those contests.

As terrible as the Yankees have been at the dish this season, the Red Sox are actually in a bit of a hitting funk as well, plating 4.33 runs per game with an OPS of .691 over the last 15 days.

With the BoSox 5-1 to the Under in their last six games and the Yankees 12-3 to the Under in their previous 15 contests, back the Under tonight.

PREDICTION: Under 9.5 (-110)
