Public Betting Trends

According to oddsmakers at BetNow.eu, South Florida is heavily favored at home, as the Bulls are getting odds of -32.5 points against Connecticut. The over/under total is currently listed at 69.5 points. The public betting for this game currently has 63 percent going on Connecticut on the road. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our College Football Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Bulls on parade

South Florida got a scare on the road last week, but pulled out a narrow 25-24 win at Tulsa to stay unbeaten. The Bulls come into this game 6-0 overall, 2-0 in the AAC, 2-4 against the spread and 4-2 with the under. They are just 1-3 against the spread in their last four games.

The Bulls have been putting up a lot of offense in 2018, averaging 35.2 points and 487.3 yards per game thus far. Running back Jordan Cronkrite is leading the offense with 757 rushing yards and six touchdowns. Quarterback Blake Barnett is adding 1,545 passing yards with nine touchdowns and five interceptions. Defensively, USF could be better. The Bulls are giving up an average of 25 points and 402.2 yards per game. The run defense is suspect, allowing 214 yards per contest.

Huskies could be worst in CFB

Connecticut hasn’t been able to get on track this season. The Huskies have lost three straight, all by at least 30, to fall to 1-5 on the season. UConn is also 0-3 in the AAC, 0-5-1 against the spread and 3-3 with the over/under total.

Connecticut has one of the worst defenses in the nation, giving up an average of 53.7 points and 658.2 yards per game. They are giving up over 300 yards rushing and passing per game on average. That’s pretty incredible. On offense, UConn is putting up just 20.3 points and 375.2 yards per game. Quarterback David Pindell is doing what he can. He has thrown for 1,122 yards and nine touchdowns with five interceptions while rushing for 467 yards and five scores. Kevin Mensah is adding 407 rushing yards.

College Football Betting Trends

South Florida

South Florida is just 1-6 against the spread in its last seven conference games but 8-3 ATS in their last 11 against a losing team.

Connecticut

Connecticut is 2-5 ATS in their last seven games in October and 16-33-2 ATS in their last 51 road games.

Prediction:

South Florida has been winning games, but not rolling anyone. Even against UMass, the Bulls won by just 16. On the other hand, UConn has been getting destroyed. The Huskies haven’t been competitive in the least but the spread is just so large. A lot of crazy things can happen in football and trash points can certainly impact a spread of this size. Could the Bulls cover? Sure. However, I will take my chances on UConn finding a way to keep this around 30 points.

College Football Prediction: Connecticut +32.5
