Spurs vs. Mavericks, 3/10/21 NBA Fantasy News & Betting Predictions

Western Conference foes meet in Dallas when the NBA resumes its regular season on Wednesday night at 8:30 p.m. ET, as the Mavericks will host the Spurs. The total for tonight’s game has climbed from 219.5 up to 222.5 but is the over the best play?

Game Snapshot

503 San Antonio Spurs (+4.5) at 504 Dallas Mavericks (-4.5); o/u 222.5

8:30 p.m. ET, Wednesday, March 10, 2021

Venue: American Airlines Center, Dallas, TX

San Antonio Spurs DFS Spin

Derrick White (COVID-protocols) is not being listed on the injury report for Wednesday’s matchup with the Mavericks. With the Spurs getting a series of games postponed and then White being forced into quarantine due to contact tracing, he hasn’t played since Feb. 14, so White could have some minutes restrictions tomorrow night. He’s not a great DFS target, but he needs to be rostered in all season-long settings. His return will result in fewer minutes for Lonnie Walker and Patty Mills.

Dallas Mavericks DFS Spin

Kristaps Porzingis hit 7-of-15 shots, three 3-pointers and 2-of-4 free throws for 19 points, 13 rebounds and nothing else in Wednesday’s 87-78 win over the Thunder. We were hoping for more from KP with Luka Doncic taking the night off but most of the players from both teams in this game had forgettable stat lines. The good news is that Porzingis was out there playing through his back issue and will now get to rest until the Mavericks resume their season next Wednesday against the Spurs. Hopefully KP’s back issue will be nonexistent by then.

Spurs vs. Mavericks Betting Prediction

The under is 6-2 in the last eight meetings between these two teams and has cashed in five of the previous six series matchups in Dallas. The under is also 5-0 in the Mavericks’ last five games playing on three or more days of rest, is 5-1 in their last six games overall and is 5-1 in their last six games when playing on an opponent like the Spurs that has a winning record.
