Blackhawks secure win in Columbus

Chicago picked up a 4-1 victory Saturday night at the Blue Jackets to improve to 4-1-2 on the season. Patrick Kane led the way in the win with two goals plus an assist. Alex DeBrincat and Marcus Kruger each scored a goal. Brent Seabrook dished out a pair of assists to contribute. Corey Crawford made 37 saves on 38 shots to pick up the victory.

Lightning fall in OT

Tampa Bay lost by a count of 5-4 yesterday in overtime at the Wild as the game-winner was scored with 1:17 left in the extra session. J.T. Miller, Yanni Gourde and Anton Stralman all had a goal and an assist to pace the Lightning offense. Ryan Callahan also scored a goal. Andrei Vasilevskiy surrendered five goals on 34 shots to suffer the defeat. Stralman tied the game up at 4-4 in the third period with under five minutes to play before Tampa Bay could not complete the task in OT.

NHL Betting Trends

Tampa Bay

The Lightning are 4-0 in their last four games of a 4-in-6 situation. Tampa Bay is 0-4 in its last four games versus the Western Conference.

The Blackhawks are 0-5 in the last five meetings. The under is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings.

Tampa Bay has dominated this series lately, but we’ll have two backup goalies on the ice tonight most likely in Louis Domingue and Cam Ward. The Blackhawks appear to be revitalized this season and Ward is a veteran. I’m going to take a shot on the hosts as a dog tonight. Look for Kane to make a big difference for a second straight day.
