Public Betting Trends

According to our MLB Public Betting Chart page, 67% of the betting tickets are on the Brewers to beat the Rangers on the moneyline.

Texas Rangers Fantasy Spin

Danny Santana slugged a solo homer in the Rangers’ loss to the Brewers on Saturday. Santana took Brewers starter Adrian Houser deep to right-center field in the sixth inning. It was his lone hit in three at-bats. The 28-year-old outfielder has enjoyed a remarkable breakout campaign, hitting .312/.343/.576 with 58 runs scored, 18 home runs, 50 RBI and 13 stolen bases in 336 plate appearances. He’s done more than enough to prove he deserves an everyday opportunity either in Texas or elsewhere moving forward.

Milwaukee Brewers Fantasy Spin

Keston Hiura walloped a solo homer — his 14th round-tripper of the season — to lead the Brewers to a 3-2 victory over the Rangers on Saturday. Hiura took Rangers starter Pedro Payano deep to left field, extending the Brewers lead to 2-0 in the third inning. It was his lone hit in four-at bats. The 23-year-old rookie sensation has left the yard seven times in 27 games since the All-Star break. He owns a sublime .305/.374/.600 triple-slash line with 31 runs scored, 14 homers, 32 RBI and seven stolen bases in 222 plate appearances. It’s astounding that he was effectively relegated to Triple-A for nearly three months before being given a true everyday opportunity in Milwaukee.

MLB Betting Trends

The Rangers are 0-4 in their last four games and 1-5 in their last six games when facing a right-handed on the road.

The Brewers have won five straight and are 9-2 in their last 11 interleague home games.

The Rangers are struggling but are 6-2 in Mike Minor’s last eight road starts when facing an opponent with a winning record. I like Minor over Jordan Lyles, who will start today for the Brewers, who are just 1-4 in their last five games played on Sunday. After back-to-back one-run losses at Miller Park, including on Friday when they rallied in the ninth to tie the game before losing in extras, I like the Rangers to salvage one game in this series with a win this afternoon.

The Pick: Texas Rangers +120
