Warriors No. 2 overall pick James Wiseman could start against the Nets in his NBA debut Tuesday night. “James is going to be our starting center before too long,” said Steve Kerr of Wiseman. “It might happen Tuesday. But clearly, he is our long-term starting center. When we feel he’s ready for that, we’ll put him out there.” It should come to no one’s surprise that Wiseman could potentially start in first-ever NBA game. The young center is extremely athletic and was drafted by the Dubs with the expectation to play and contribute as soon as possible. He’s worth drafting in standard leagues and should definitely be rostered in deeper leagues.

Joe Harris’ ability to space the floor could raise the ceilings for Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant’s play, according to coach Steve Nash. Since the 2017 season, Harris leads the league in 3-point percentage, knocking down 43.9% of his attempts. Opposing defenses will need to chase him around the arc whenever he’s in, leaving lanes open for Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and any of Harris’ Nets teammates to attack the basket. “We call it gravity,” head coach Steve Nash said, according to The Athletic. “The defense is always going to gravitate towards him, which opens up space for playmakers. Making shots, that’s even more deadly.” Harris’ spacing could improve the quality of looks for the Nets’ top slashers, including Durant, Irving, and Caris LeVert.
