According to our MLB Public Betting Chart page, 79% of the betting tickets are on the Nationals to beat the Mets on the moneyline.

Washington Nationals Fantasy Spin

Anthony Rendon went 2-for-5 with a homer, three RBI, a stolen base, and two runs scored Friday against the Mets. We’re pretty sure Rendon’s eyes light up when he sees the Mets on the calendar. Rendon knocked in a run with a triple in the fourth inning before delivering a go-ahead two-run homer in the seventh. It looked like it would hold up before the Mets made a comeback in the ninth. The impending free agent is having an MVP-caliber year with a .315/.400/.608 with 25 home runs, 90 RBI, and 82 runs scored through 101 games.

New York Mets Fantasy Spin

Pete Alonso homered in his fourth straight game Friday against the Nationals. So, about that slump. The Mets were down 3-0 early before Alonso went yard for a two-run shot against Stephen Strasburg in the bottom of the fourth. It was his only hit in four at-bats, but he’s clearly back on track after a mini power outage. The rookie slugger has 38 homers on the year. Only the Brewers’ Christian Yelich (39) has more.

MLB Betting Trends

The Nationals are 10-4 in their last 14 games following a loss.

New York

The Mets have won nine straight games after scoring five runs or more in their previous contest.

The Mets are 1-4 in Noah Syndergaard’s last five home starts versus the Nationals but Washington is now winless in its last five games played at Citi Field. The Mets are also 7-2 in Syndergaard’s last nine starts overall and have won 20 of their last 26 games overall. The Nationals, meanwhile, have lost six of Patrick Corbin’s last eight road starts and are just 1-4 in their last five divisional games, too.

The Pick: New York Mets -110
