As the PGA Tour eases out of its winter hibernation, golf’s elite are slowly returning to the tees, with Waste Management Phoenix Open odds the focus this week.
Jon Rahm returned to action last week, giving Golf bettors another one of the top pros to back this weekend, along with Justin Thomas, Xander Schauffele, Rory McIlroy and Webb Simpson.
Let’s take a look at the odds to win the Waste Management Phoenix Open, running from February 4-7 at TPC Scottsdale.
After withdrawing from the American Express, OWGR No. 2 Jon Rahm was back on the tees last weekend at the Farmers Insurance Open. As the pre-tournament favorite, Rahm finished T7 in that event – extending his streak to four straight Top-10 finishes – and is the favorite for this weekend’s event as well at +600.
Second on the odds board is Justin Thomas (+750), who last played in the Sentry Tournament of Champions, where he finished third.
Just like last weekend, Xander Schauffele takes the third spot at +800. Schauffele has finished inside the Top 20 in all six of his appearances this season, including a tie for second at the Farmers Insurance Open.
Rounding out the Top 5 on the odds board are Rory McIlroy (+1,100) and defending champion Webb Simpson (+1,400).

The most popular way to bet on golf is by simply picking the winner, which is also referred to as an outright. There are plenty of other ways to wager, however. Some of the more popular markets include head-to-head betting, where sportsbooks pair up two golfers and you simply choose who you think will have the lower score over the course of the weekend or for one round only. Similarly, there are also 3-way betting markets (choose the best golfer among three choices) and group betting (choose the best golfer amongst a group of players).
Other ways to wager include Top-5/Top-10/Top-20 finish, top golfer by nationality, to make the cut/to not make the cut, and the leader after each round. Then, of course, there’s the popular prop bet of whether or not there will be a hole in one at the tournament.
With PGA betting growing in popularity, most online sportsbooks and casinos will offer golf odds for the Farmers Insurance Open. Check out the best sportsbooks available where you live and see what PGA Tour odds they have available.
